If you look at his overall record it's actually good. If you read up about him, he's actually highly regarded in coaching terms, very modern with good methods. He's worked for some dodgy chairmen which hasn't helped. Took Reading up, got West Ham to within seconds of winning the FA Cup, and the only reason why he didn't get Southampton promoted was because they started the season with minus 15 points or something.
