well i didn't manage to get into a proper club until i was 17-18! been into pubs since 14 or so but couldn't get past the doorstaff at nightclubs! loadsa underground raves tho. of course, "when i were a lad", u could get 500 people together, give them all halucinigenics and the police wpuldn't do a thing to stop u!:groovy:

now i know u youngsters are thinkin never! but yes, before the "repetative beats" law came out, outdoor raves were the boys!!!!!

Jus thought I'd point out that while promise don't mind under18's posting on the board... they do not allow under 18's into the club.... use your head before shooting off your underage - or you may find yourself being refused entry

Its all a bit sad really. I think it was a personal dig n usin underage as an excuse. I went out loads when I was 15+ but only to the places I knew didnt care i.e the Top Hat in Spennymoor OMG!!! Now Im 19 I'll go anywhere decent but usually only if Ive got ID cos I know I look young n might get asked.

AS for under 18s on the web site, that's fine with me as long as there's no immature arguing going on like this thread here!!!!!

Well i'll step forward and say ive never been to Promise! Infact i'll hold my hands up and say i'd never even heard of it till about three weeks ago! *waits for slap*

But you cant knock me for coming on here as i do like meeting new people! And when i do come to Promise - which is in the near future, i hope you would be nice enough to show me around? Because that's what nice people do.

Oh and yes a lot of people are using this msg board to chat - what else is it used for? Talking about how good a night was, arranging meet-up's, information of tunes, getting to know people etc etc etc

I was into dance music and the whole clubbing scene ages before I actually went clubbing (sounds a bit weird) and I think that the Promise msg board is a good place for peeps who are underage or not to see whats going on.

Is there a lot of people on here underage? Your all making out as if it's some sort of child play pen?

Theres a few underage people on the board... but the majority of them have never been to promise... they're usually pointed in the direction of baja and the boat

Yeah I know what u mean - When I was too young n all my mates at school who looked old enough were going out I'd sit at home n listen to Judge or Tong wishing I was out somewhere!!! That's canny ironic really cos none of them even liked dance music much n poor old me had to sit in with a couple litres of White Star. Now there's an idea.... BRB.

Tino I'm sorry, I think I started this one rolling again, but its the first time Ive seen it as I havent been on the message board as regular lately. Ever since I left college and started doing something useful to my life actually.

I know you're frustrated n know why you started this whole thing off even if no one else understands, but what they're sayin is right. U'd do best to get along with someone a) because she has just as much right to be on the web site despite her age n despite your dislike for each other. b) because when she's old enough she'll no doubt start goin to Promise (unless people start bein nasty to her on the message board), c) because you bought her a ticket to GK in March but most importantly d) because she has lots of pics of you and the rest of us (which brings me to my next point) so we'd be better off if we never peed her off!!
