Weren't the numbers (4 8 15 16 23 42) the numbers of the candidates on the cave roof?!?!

Also ol' smokey hasn't actually been in anybody's body, it just takes their guise. It also took the form of Eko's brother. Canny few more answers this week. And Richard's back. And so is the real Ben!

i feel sorry for Ben, i really like the alternative Ben - i like how they're showing the "if in different circumstances..." angles for the characters - Some will always be bad given the chance and some will be good given the right path... interesting though similar to the 'nature/nurture' arguement

I reckon they've wrapped up a lot more than some people realised, it's just that your average person misses most of it because we don't watch it fanatically; missing a lot of the subtle clues and hints. Personally lost is all just a big blur to me, but I kept on top of it with lost-forum. They definitely aren't going to tie everything up though. If they did the finale would be genius. Not going to happen.

I reckon this is pretty much answered - the numbers were just something ascribed to every potential candidate. Everything is connected so they kept reappearing.

I'm definitely disappointed though. They should have really played on the idea that reality was some kind of sinister chess game and made it really dark and twisted. The whole chess idea doesn't seem like it's going to be that big a theme though.

Oh well, fun while it lasted.

K & Adam - you's were right! Last nights ep was brilliant, i like how the names on the wall being crossed through didnt mean anything and they could still be candidates.

Im still thinking along the lines of purgatory....

I think he said the Island wasnt purgatory, which it wasnt. Everything that happened on the Island actually happened.

I can get my head around it all, but then I over-think it and get really confused, but overall I was happy with that ending and it was worth the wait!

Anyone, male or female who doesnt cry at atleast the end when Jack closes his eyes is a heartless bastard haha. I went through a full packet of tissues

Fucking shattered now ! might have a kip under my desk!

I went back to kip, Just woke up there. Chuffed with the ending like and quite pleased how easy getting my head round it was. Although it didnt answer a lot of mythology and island questions, i was happy knowing how the characters ended up. Apparently the DVD will clear up most of the island based questions anyway.

PS. I was in fucking bits when Vincent lay down next to him, the plane going overhead and Jack cracking a smile when he saw it.
