yes m8 there will be quite a few of the DJ's there and will no doubt be playing over the coming months
nope lol i aint taking the piss (is he that good like) you'll probly find on this board i'm one of the more serious types hahah types!!! :spangled:
whilst theres no denying simon garrington is a canny dj, would he still be playing if tulip wasnt going out with his sister? it aint how good or what you know in toon its who you know most of the local djs that play regularly at local nights are in there cos they are bessie mates or related directly / indirectly with the promoters I challenge you to say owt different its just one big gravy train
I'd never have even reached Clear Bar if i hadnt saw the potential of befriending The Saviour ps this is how life works melt, thought you might have worked that one out by now
I aint disagreeing its great I am just pointing out to mr mack that it aint talent alone that gets dj's in there so we are in full agreement also a healthy dose of ass licking also works the only exceptuion to this is the rythm boys at smile
he's been doing a lot of the promo work for rich for the last few months so its the same case as always, scratchin backs.
I havent seen much of garringotn handing out flyers outside of clubs and putting posters up in pizza places personally i reckon mac is sleeping with the promoter(s)
@ Melt, Si has been a few places I have been recently, he was outside Elements and then Junior G the following week. Of course its WHO you know, its like that everywhere and not just in ''clubland'' most of the local lads ARE talented DJ's they have been lucky enough to know promoters or friends of promoters to get a shot and proved themselves If the lads were put on as a favour but had no talent they wouldnt be playing again for the same promoter or getting gigs at other nights would they and before you say it Im not just talking about Mick!!!
Micks a quality DJ, no taking that away from him. Granted the scene in all genres is sometimes 1 big back-scratch, but unless your Paul Oakenfold, these days you have to have some element of ability otherwise you just dont get a second chance with promoters.
just make sure you bring loads of people to your gigs and youll be booked again you can play the best tracks in the world but if theres noone there then it means fack all
This doesnt appeal to me at all. I used to love tissera and lashes... like 5 years ago. But now i cant understand how they are still headlining gigs. They do nothing innovative or interesting any more
I shagged them all years ago...yourself included Dave You never complained that dark night behind the hardhouse tent @ Detox I note the lack of rebooking me for Detox...speaks volumes must be my technique
