I think your reading far too much into things Melt, it was set up in Promises wake as there was simply a gap in the market up here at the time, Trance was MASSIVELY popular up here once upon a time & Newcastle went from having one of the best nights in the country to nothing, so it made perfect sense to get something up & away. Obviously with GG being behind it would mean they'd promo their other events on the back of it, it wouldn't make any sense not to considering it's popularity in the beginning? but if what your saying is that Junior:G was solely there for that purpose then id say you were off the mark slightly, there was a massive amount of thought went into the night, bookings & way it was ran, it was never just a case of GG having their stamp in another City to push Tree's etc... they wanted to make it work up here more than anyone.

i agree that BT is all about stereo, but i think The End given what i seen of it the other day will be just as good.

its also got the "out of the way" factor, so the crowd at BT @ End should be very similar crack to the crowds at stereo

yeah you could say that like. but i don't know when you were last in the End but they have a decent looking lighting and soundsystem with speakers all owa the shop, a stage and a dancefloor - also a smoke machine and we are getting a laser for BT - for hopefully it should be looking and sounding great
