So it aint just as simple as lookin thru job vacancies and applying? You get accepted, you go over and start work? :p

I understand that when u do must be of benefit to that country - as in doing them a favour rather than yourself.

Jus needs more research I guess....just pondering the idea u see!

    Go to Canada NOT America.

    TRUST ME.

Canada is actively seeking migrants like yourself.

There is a major shortage of butt kissers in that region.

Seriously though. Canada is one of very few countries trying to encourage people to come over.

Forget the USA they DONT WANT YOU.

Name a better country than Canada? Oz is too hot and The Fatherland is just too ugly these days.

This was a few years ago when I went not sure what the policy is now but...

If you're a British citizen and you've got a Bachelors Degree or similar you should be able to get a work Visa for the USA...if not then the company employing you can apply for a special Visa, but they have to apply and basically say why you should get the job in question and why they can't give it to an American citizen.

I know a couple of people who have gotten Visa's that way but it isn't easy.

Best way is to have a degree.

The Telegraph publish a really good guide book on working abroad - it covers everything in most major countries (visa's, taxes, etc).

Most countries do working holiday visa's, lasting 6 months to a year normally, so you can also see the sights, work and see if the place is for you. You have to be under 30 for most countries (25 for Japan  ). Tis what I'm planning to do on my 3 year tour :D

Also look at each country's website, they also have a lot of information on emigration, visa's etc.
