    Wiping a Imac

    How do i wipe clean a Imac and reinstall the OP

    I guess you need installation discs but i cant find mine, can i use anyones or are they machine specific?

    Any original OS disk will do. flat screen iMac? Start with leopard. Might need the bios firmware upgrade for Snow.

    Put disk in, press 'C' to boot to it, once main screen loads, select 'Disk utilities' from the main menu at the top. Re-partition it 'mac OS journaled' - then you'll be able to do a clean install.
