why is that stupid? Farmers need to rest the land after it has been worked...if you farm a field year after year after year you destroy the soil. Only a fool would try to teach the Israelis how to farm - they made a desert bloom
I learned about this in my Water Politics and Water Policy module at uni - Isreal make oranges in the desert! There are other political things we learned about water provision in Israel and Palestine, but I won't go into these in fear of getting flamed.
