The Old Switcharoo... SureFire @ The Telegraph, Thursday 3rd Sep

We were at panic stations last week when news filtered through that Enigma had closed it's doors for the last time! So with that we've gone to work to organize a new venue, and haven't we snagged a bobby dazzler!

The Telegraph in Newcastle city centre (just off Central Station area) absolutely epitomises what we're all about and offers everything we could wish for in a venue. It's intimate, the staff are cool and clued up, and the pints aren't watered down.

We've had to postpone the event date in order for us to re-organise and let the word get out, but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

    So, what to expect:

The nite itself is a fairly low-key, party oriented affair (we're not anticipating many people to show) held at a venue that is quite intimate (small). The emphasis is firmly placed on providing a friendly atmosphere (we're twats really) and a quality selection of underground dance music (cheapest shite we could pick up from Beatport). All of which is totally free ('cos we daren't actually charge people for this crap)!

In case you didn't catch the last one (you blatantly didn't catch the last one), here's why you should come along and see what none of the fuss is about.

    >Free entry
    >Sensibly priced drinks
    >Excellent music, an all encompassing blend of underground house (with a splash of techno)
    >Free entry
    >Talented and handsome DJ's
    >A terrace (Everyone loves a terrace!)
    >Free entry

Proceedings kick off at 7pm sharp, Thursday 3rd September.

So what are you waiting for?? The event to start?? That would be sensible!!

Hope you can make it :)

P.S - We've got a group set up on Facebook (fancy that)! If you like what you see, be a gem and show your support by joining up. Better still, invite some friends as well! The more people laughing at us, the happier we are :D !

    Update:

Daniel Jobson (member of this board, Jobbi) has been drafted in and will be joining us on the 3rd September, supplying his trademark brand of prog/tech house and techno.

In the past he's plied his trade at nites such as VICE CLUB and BEAT THERAPY and is a very welcome addition to the SureFire roster :) !

After a gruelling wait, the moment none of you have been waiting for is finally upon us!

Tonight - SureFire @ The Telegraph (through the pedestrian tunnel behind bar Destination, Newcastle Central Station area).

Prepare to have your minds blown as residents Anth Knott and James Smith, plus special guest Daniel Jobson (Beat Therapy, VICE CLUB), play COMPACT DISCS containing MUSIC recorded by OTHER ARTISTS!

Bear witness as these 'talented' DISC JOCKEYS then MIX (or blend) these 'records' INTO EACH OTHER, at the SAME TEMPO and at just the right time, so as to create the illusion that you're actually just listening to one 'tune'... ALL NIGHT!!!

"It was like I was just listening to the one song all night! Personally I thought it sounded a bit sh-" Said one person who was drinking in the bar we last played at last.

On a slightly more serious note (slightly), here is why you should consider attending a SureFire party.

    >The DJs are canny good actually. Honestly!
    >The entry is free
    >The drink is cheap
    >The music is quality
    >The venue is mint
    >And because we'd really like it if you did!

SureFire is all about creating a cool little underground nite, held in an awesome intimate venue, where people can just let loose and (hopefully) enjoy a highly credible, no frills nite done on the cheap. We specialise in all things good in underground house & techno and we'd love it if you could join us.

    Hope to meet you soon,

    SureFire x

The other lads did but I went to Monkey High with James. When did he stop getting called Jamie?

Im good mates with Emma's brother tho. Sound lad :king:

Jaunt went really well again this year. I was only out there on holiday for 3 weeks so obviously missed the majority of them which was a gutter. We had some quality guests on and some epic afters. Standard  The closing party last weekend in the Coco Loco room at Privilege which was supposed to have been canny.

You got the next Surefire sorted?
