ReZerection Return - Update Taken from TOMDJ From Jon Campell (TTF) who has bought the Rezeretion name who is starting to ruffle a few feathers .............. "Ok from the top............ No one is trying to cash in........ Dont you all realise that Tom was payed Peanuts compared to the English Jocks? who was cashing in then?, do you realise how fucked of at that i was? (the original promoters were very and i mean very disrespectfull to our Scottish Scene.....thats where the "cash in" was, they tried to pay anyone from Scotland a pittance, so lets not get all "nostalgic" when in fact the shows (particulary towards the end) really skimpted on the overall production. Also ...all this gabba shite was not what Tom or myself was into at 7 in the morning and that wont be the future policy of the company, It should be seen like a night out at the panto (in terms of stage show) (and i dont mean with "widow twanky" onstage It is not a bad idea as there is a new genaration of kids who are into raving as well as the old skool crew. Rez will return better than ever (music and show wise) Best not to be nostalgic and to have something to look forward to. Do you think Tom would have thought it a Bad Idea? I think not as he would be finnaly getting payed what he was worth. The only people who think it is a bad idea are probably Back to the future fans i suspect, lets not throw our toys out the pram its time for something with good intensions in Scotland. At least this time Scotland will get to see a good show and the Artists (who were the original saviours of REZ) will be treated with the respect they deserve. Tom was one of my closest friends 15 years and i know he would have proud that the Scottish scene finnaly coming back with a "big bang" and being treated accordingly. " What do you lot think?? A good thing or a bad thing ?? I personally think he should leave the name alone. If he is not in it for the money why doesn't he put on big events under a new name. Ah Inglston, only a 20 minute drive from my old home. Rezerection should stay in the past and keep it as happy memories. If it's not a cash in why use the name? Does he not have confidance in himself promoting a new night with a new name?
