GLOBAL GOON - LIVE (Rephlex/Planet Mu/WeMe/The Centrifuge) Global Goon is a Braindance legend releasing 3 LP's and 1 EP on Aphex Twin's pioneering imprint REphLEX Records, 3 LP's on his own record label J-Hok, 2 LP's and an EP on cult Belgian label WeMe. He is now known to be mystery Acid artist Syntheme who has had a number of sought after vinyls released on WeMe and Planet Mu. His initial sound over the first 10 or so years of his career was one of luscious synthesizers, laidback trippy beats, and evocative childlike melodies with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. Initially rumoured to be an AFX alias due to the strength of his production and the depth of his melodies. Global Goon over the past 3 or 4 years has embarked on a much darker but no less playful trajectory embracing the full on rush of the ACID melt down and going into much more full on Electro/Acid tinged territory.
