Interesting read. I wonder if Big AC would fit back into NCL's style of play? They dont lump it for Ba do they? its more like slide pass's for him to run on to? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/dec/29/andy-carroll-newcastle-liverpool?CMP=twt_gu
I said it a few months back; When Liverpool don't play him, they don't miss him. There not used to an old fashioned burly striker how we love up here and they way they feed there attacking players doesn't suit his style of play. Historically Liverpool have always been famous for the more tactical, sharp, nippy strikers: Keegan, Dalglish, Rush, Fowler, Owen, Bellamy etc... He's an awesome player I just think he needs a good run of games for the midfield to adapt how they can work things with him. This Suarez ban could be the making of him down there.
Its wasnt had to predict (as I did of course). He isnt a intelligent pass and move player. Hes too thick to take up genius positions on the pitch and too slow to run onto a through ball. Hes a one trick pony and without great wingers and massive lobs into the box hes nothing. Newcastle still lost out though. Do you think Ba will still be in Toon in two years time, loving it and kissing the badge? Nah but Big Andy would have been. 35millon reasons why he should have stayed.
