Film : The Thin Red Line

Just watched this again last night after being reminded of it in the "100 greatest war films of all time"

What a class, heart wrenching film... total shocker as well - you're not ready for the bit with Jim Cavizel (sp?) towards the end. it's the 'platoon' of US involvement in the Pacific WWII films.... love it.

Although i do really like 'Tora Tora Tora' - quite forward thinking, having a bit of a dig at the american way of thinking, even back then, showing the japanese getting ready to attack and flying over and the yanks just sitting around thinking they're untouchable...

    just thought i'd share that.

You cant beat A Bridge Too Far for some cracking Nazi heroics.... I love the bit where all the Poles get machine gunned as they parachute into the German lines. "Its Liek Ze Duck Shoot"
