Episode 25 - Earl Grey Welcome to 2009 . Included in this mesage is a 47 minute trip into different angles and aspects of oldskool building up from house thru to breakbeathardcore via obscure tracks i always love to play including.... beats , bleeps , pianos , bass n breaks and hoover rave - 88 - 94 Also includes and i am proud to say 'Period' mixing from when music was good , every space in the country was filled with a rig or 2 , no one gave a fuck about the 9 til 5, wore what they liked , took good drugs and gave a 2 finger salute to the criminal justice bill . Due to ill health in recent weeks , Earl Greys mix is curtisy of a set recorded at DETOX 14/11/08 on good old 12's and 7's. big up to the MOS Sorry for the sketchy track list , most are whites, promos,or i cant be arsed to look. I hope this mix opens a few ears to other musical styles younger people may not of heard during there lives . lol 1. Unknowen? 2. Unknowen? 3. Utah Staints - What can you do for me 4. i find it hard to believe that you have music thats 20 years old and nobody has been able to tell you the names of it yet its 'unknown'. was it the 1994 criminal justice act? http://www.urban75.org/legal/cja.html does 'period' mixing mean there will be lots of mistakes? i was looking forward to listening, but the file is only 1.02KB, and i dont think you can play that many tracks in that long a time - not with period mixing anyway happy new year! but seriously, looking forward to hearing it once the link is fixed i loved that era
im not a record spoter , so it is possible to go many years and not be told a name of a track , if you spot them , please let me know link fixed . and yes, few mistakes , but then again , i dont use laptops
This podcast isn't about flawless mixing... if it was, you would have to submit everything via ableton Listening to it now, liking what I hear so far
it was steady paced until about 30 minutes then it was mint nice mix mate Conway, i prefer to hear 3 times the mistakes if 3 times the effort is going in
I really enjoyed this......chaotic, full of life and energy. is what it's all about. production values are nice and mixing skills are nice but ...... oh and one in ten.aint heard that in so long.....
