Crasher - August Bank Holiday 2007

    Crasher
    Bank Holiday Sunday
    26th August 2007
    Gatecrasher-One

    Ferry Corsten
    Above & Beyond
    Ronald Van Gelderen
    Matt Hardwick

After the mind blowing PVD 6hr in May, Gatecrasher are back on August Bank Holiday the 26th, with another volcanic mix of the world’s leading djs.

Ferry Corsten, one of the greatest producers of all time, is leading the line and bringing his Loud, Electronic, Ferocious breed of beat therapy to the den. Consistently at the forefront of the dance scene, luminary dj and artist, Ferry Corsten is a living legend of the highest calibre. Originally recognised for his soaring trance melodies at the end of the 90’s, he has pioneered electro and rock influences to bring a new sound to his audience. Not content with dominating the scene he helped to create, Ferry, constantly updates his sound, incorporating new elements to bring an altogether fresh appeal to his dj sets. Its been a while since Ferry appeared at Gatecrasher in Sheffield, fortunately we wont have to wait much longer for his Corsten electro-synths to blaze up bank holiday.

Above & Beyond have recently completed a global tour, continuing their worldwide assault on the dance scene. With an arsenal of hugely successful productions, they return to GC1 where many of their tracks have become classic Crasher anthems. Their internationally acclaimed, ‘Trance Around The World’ radio show continues to grow and project their sounds to a wider audience. A sound that is typified by melodic and progressive trance, they have never strayed far from their roots. Playing to their strengths, they always offer uplifting and emotive sets that never fail to hit the spot. With some exclusive new productions to showcase, Above & Beyond are set to combust Crasher in their signature style.

Also from hailing from Ferry’s homeland Holland, Ronald Van Gelderen is set to make his debut performance at Gatecrasher. Another producer who has taken influences from electro and rock, Van Gelderen’s tough, twisted and blistering tracks have been hammered by all the top djs in recent years. Having worked with some of the biggest producers in trance from Ferry to Tiesto, he has built a strong reputation in the studio. Ronald’s splintered electro-tech sound is well suited to the sound of ‘now’ and he is certain to rip the lid off when he comes to play the cathedral of trance – Crasher.

Completing the line up is Matt Hardwick. Having governed the Gatecrasher decks in Sheffield for over a decade, he was an essential part of the club’s rise to global supremacy. Leaving his residency at the end of 2003, Matt has been headlining events and clubs across the world, whilst still making guest appearances for Crasher. Currently road-testing his new production with Mark Pledger, Fallen Tides, the line up wouldn’t be right without an appearance from Mr. Hardwick.

Brought together with Gatecrasher’s inimitable party vibe, August bank holiday the 26th is definitely not one to be missed.
