    Business directories

Does anyone know any good business directories online??

I need leads for work and my manager won't buy any directories and I've already used all the ones I know: yell, askalix, apllegate, kompass. And I've contacted council and got directories from all the ones that do them, and used all the online ones they've recommended to me.

I can't do any work without leads and I'm starting to get really pissed off cos I'm getting no fucking help from the company I work for even though it's their responsibility to give me the tools I need to do my job. And they want me to make at least 100 calls a day

I dont think there are many left. thats why I need them to buy some but the bastards wont spend any money but expect me to do my job with nothing

I work for a freight comapny that specialises in shipping to Northern Ireland and EIRE. Its my job to find companies that send stuff over there and if they send quite regularly to get an appointment for our rep to go in. I also am the office skivvy, doing admin stuff and anything other jobs that are below the others

I'm on the look out for a new job though AGAIN!

There can only be so many companies that need that service, I would think that at 100 a day you should cover the whole market in a few weeks.

I'd try looking for trade publications but I have no idea what they would be called or where to start to look.

They cost money though. theres loads of good directories available if youre willing to pay. buying directories would find new custom and make money, therefore paying for itself but they just dont see it that way. All they think about is now, its outlay now and it doesnt matter what it brings in the future, they just dont wanna know.

The sales manager at head office keeps telling me that they will buy me some and to speak to my depot manager but he refuses point blank and head office wont do anything about it

I'm getting really pissed off with the situation cos its only a matter of time before I get a bollocking for there being no appointments
