its awful! maybe we should start hunting the Japs and putting them through half the things they do to those poor mammals

why is it we object to whaling but are fine with fishing?

I was reading this morning that some of the whales can take up to half an hour to die after being harpooned poor things just thrash around until they bleed to death !

Whaling is cruel but as long as oil = money they will keep doing it unfortunatley !

i don't agreeing with fishing either.....leave those things from the sea in the sea...tis awful to eat anyways

Some whale species are becoming endangered through whaling (amongst other things, like the degradation of their habitats etc).

whales are cool, fish are shit

its totally not necessary, am sure they could live without whale meat/oil for a few years until there numbers are at a sustainable level!

they should enforce whaling as a law in the bigg market on saturday nights, no shortage of 'meat' available there

Whales are in more danger mate theres less of them , they reproduce less which means it takes thenm that much longer to replenish there numbers ! We tend to only eat certain amounts of fish and these days we have specific farms for them so in a way were kind of growing our own rather than stealing them from the ocean

they should only be allowed to be hunted once theirs loads of them, same with cod. it fucks up the ecosystem.

they should let them hunt whales providing they arent allowed to use boats and their only weapon is a 3 inch lock knife

cos some punters will always want whats illegal hence black markets, and you normally make alot more on the black market for endangered scran than you would through legal channels.

this is only applicable to certain breeds of whales and certain breeds of fish.
