    Re: Weight Watchers

I used 2 go 2 weight watchers with my mam (not that my mam needed it like) im not obease or anythin but like katie said i feel i would feel better about my self if i lost a some weight. Its about a fiver a week so that was like £10 a week jus for me n my mam 2go....u do the maths! Jus 2 get weighed once a week, n have a meeting, fair enough u get little tips etc each week but the meeting arent that important or useful. Anyways after goin 4 a while we stopped n we r now doin it on our own as normal n jus watching what we eat n counting points. Once uve got the hand book your sorted really.

you probs know katie but they charge u anyway even if u dont go, i think u get 2weeks hol time were they wont charge u, but i wouldnt waist that on jus not wanting 2 go. I doesnt matter if uve put on a bit it jus means u have to lose it again,no ones gonna shun u lol. So i say dont worry n haul ass along 2 it
    xx

lol.. theres nothin wrong with goin to weight watchers.. although it may seem a waste of money to some it gives the people that go the incentive that allows them to organise what they're eatin..

    Or somethin like that..

I'm forever watchin what I'm eatin..
No more burgers.. very few curries, pizza or chinese.. At the very worst I eat a large amount of chicken from KFC.. keep tellin myself that I need the protein..

Generally eat pasta or rice.. or indeed weight watchers meals.. :D

I'm always checkin the calorie content of everythin I pick up..

lol.. I know it sounds gay but I like to look after myself..

If you have a 'bad' week or whatever, try and balance it out, don't just give up. I used to do that a lot. I still do to an extent, to preventing me turning into a blimp and looking like Jimmy ;)

I still say you don't need to lose weight though. Bloody women...

I just read an article in a magazine this week that says if you have a bad week or an indulgence that eating healthy for a while will not reverse the effects of the pig out and you fool yourself into feeling better.

I can't help but pig out all the time but luckily I'm one of those people every1 hates and eats what they like (generally junk food) and still stays skinny as a rake.

You've a RDA of fats/salts/calories though. If you pig out one day, and eat, for example, a McDonalds breakfast, two bacon sarnies for lunch, a chinese for your tea, wash it down with a few beers and eat chocolate inbetween, you're way over your RDA. However if, for the next couple days, you digest less than your RDA of fats/salts, it levels out...

I eat all of that every day almost but never seem to have a day where I'm healthy, ah well I'm sure I'll die a lot younger! Never mind!

As for me...id probably avoid the scales lol.

I have changed my eating habits considerably over the last few months.

A while ago, i would be having greasy cooked breakfasts every day at uni, followed by stuff like chips for lunch, and then a big meal, with crisps and choclate in between....needless to say that since I didnt do much activity, i put weight on.

This time last year i was 11st6, few weeks ago i was 12st6!

Im back down to around 12st2 now mind, and now i have cereal and friut for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch and a main meal in the evening.

If i feel like a snack, i eat fruit instead of chocloate and crisps most of the time!

I do allow for like 1 cooked breakfast a week, theres no harm in that, especially not now that im back into a regular routine at the gym!

Also important to watch your salt intake!

Stay away from McDonalds, its appaulingly bad for you :angel2:

This isn't really Chemistry, you dork.

This doesn't mean stop eating salt altogether either, you need it for hydration purposes. Best cure for a hangover: something salty, washed down with lots of water :king:

I'll unhijack the thread and stop sounding like a nerd now.

Dave > Not like you to be negative about something mate ;)
