The JobcentrePlus website's search engine is a bit crappy (if using the advanced search it only makes the slightest difference what options you tick), so you need to spend a fair amount of time looking through the various categories. It's easier to pop into a jobcentre and get them to search for you.

(Although all the jobcentre staff will be searching for jobs themselves after todays announcement about the loss of 570-odd jobcentreplus offices - we found out before they did too :( )

Easiest way to find a job though is to run round all the agencies in town with your cv. Never fails. :)

The job centre keep sending us people for things we tell them time n time again they cant have , like they will ring us up and ask if we do grants for offshore survival so we say no then ten minutes later the client turns up saying "the job centre has sent me up for my survival grant" :dunce: ffs , same goes for interview clothes etc !!

Do u know about sl2's m8 ? Its like playing pass the parcel with a person lol !!!

    Re: job websites??

Well, there's a new firm starting up a the DSs Lonbenton site called "Client Logic" - they support Bt and Sony - there after 400 people for, wait for it...call centre type work! Perhaps support stages 2 and beyond also.

Not sure when they open but it is a full time job.
