    DJs.....

Do you sound how you want to sound? Are you satisfied with the tunes you play?

Cos for me, there arent enough tunes out there which satisfy the sound that I want to have....I dare say that if I played like all the sounds I have in my head I would be rather good!

Bit of a deep one this, but was reading an interview with a band and they had just made a new album which they said sounded closest to how they wanted to sound.

Yeah, I do most of the time.

Some gigs I can't play exactly how I want, for example when I was playing at Stereo in febuary, I had to play alot deeper and funkier than I usually would.....simply because my preferred style isnt exactly "Stereoesque".

As for Twisted though, sounded exactly as I want to be known to sound :D

I don't seem to have bother with finding good tunes, theres usually an abundance of GOOD tough prog/tribal tunes :)

One thing that I like about my style is that you don't hear the tunes many places, and certainly not every time you go clubbing, which makes it a bit different and arguably more enjoyable, and a nice change :)

I'm getting there i reckon, taken me a while but its all about searching for the right records. I dont really buy records cos they fit my style i buy them if i like them but most of them are bass heavy chunky funky breaks with a dash of old schol for good measure.

I'm still deciding on the exact style I want to play. Have had decks about 7 months now and am still experimenting with styles. Haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet, that's for sure.

I have enough records to be able to fit into most situations, everything from deep house/tech/tribal/prog/acid/electro and techno to barcore and funky house.

I play what I feel is right for the venue and the time of my set.

My preferred sound would be real bass heavy tech/tribal house, although in most honesty I rearly get to play out what I would like to.

I don't buy many records, about 20 every month and they cover the whole spectrum of music above. I have become very fussy when buying records and no longer buy for the sake of buying, I often leave record shops with nothing.

Where and whenever I play I always put in full effort to make the set into something different.

My sets when I record them always sound good, but I very quickly become very critical. I would imagine you are all the same.

No disrespect mate but even I was familiar with your tracklisting and I'm not a tune spotter by any manner of means.

That type of prog is massive, very popular.

it is the more popular sound  still very good though.

I prefer to play more deep/techy as opposed to prog

    Re: DJs.....

Near enough, but then again I haven't heard anyone else who sounds like I'd like to sound.

I suppose the best description would be halfway between corvin and dave seamen, but I can't find the right records. Most of the ones I do find are good, but they are never exactly how I'd like them.

Alot of the stuff I play isnt a specific genre, its just 'tech' whether it be house trance or techno, I can adapt to anything.
Every tune I like I buy:)

i play the tunes i like and there are a fair few of them. however i can't think of any that define my style, hence my own productions, which aren't what i ever set out them to be, maybe one day heh
