friday was brill. i was wankered. Lee did his usual crackin warm up. Adam was v. good - and his own tune at the end was amazing! Richard - u can tell as soon as this man comes on - excellent! Mauro was pretty good, still enjoyed it - but shan was top! loved his last hour set - every tune was class! a throughly good night - and said hello to loads of people. ahhhh. roll on the 28th.
ai lektrik sounded fucking mint, i also remember push through, and as the rush comes and a few others i recognised i cant put me toungue on. sheridan seemed to play a lot more trancey than last time which i thout was mint, didnt get in til after he stated, anyone know if he played crush??
Not only do you not know 'REAL' prog, it now seems you have no musical taste!!!!!!!! When you were a mod in the music forum I used to look upto you, but now....
At the end of the day, Im only voicing my opinion. I am not stating that what I say is fact and I wasnt being totally serious either I think people need to lighten up a bit and stop taking peoples posts so seriously. Saying that tho, its the Monday after Promise, theres bound to be loads of agro
Picotto did play some canny tunes but he kept cutting the bass out all of the time and to be fair it sounded shit at times! Techno music is all about the bassline IMO!
Ok then.... Also I think people are forgetting our residents..... I would enjoy coming to Promise every month just to see Richard and Lee!!!!!!!!! __________________ SLURP.
Picotto played the best set in my opinion too. I think the problem on friday was that those monkeys who did turn up and are now saying picotto was dull have a one track mind, and all they wanted was trance or yer harder edged stuff from the likes of shan and tulip. Picotto dropped the tempo and pace when he came on after tulip because basically thats what he does, he likes to build a set up, its his journey, his sound and thats how he plays. He doesnt just play full on banging or pounding techno from the start you know just like how most of the hardstyle monkeys on this board expect. He did play a tad different at the start and i thought that was a nice change. But he did soon start playing his tougher stuff and definitely had the crowd going, so for those mocking him on here, your definitely in the smallest minority....go expand yer horizons and educate yerself with other forms of dance music.....
Well said! He started at his own tempo and built it perfectly!! I thought rich should have played a lot slower and techier to warm up for him.
In this months M8,John '00' writes about residents warming up for guest DJs. Matt H gets praise as does Jon O'Bir
i had a wickid night, was well smashed, met loads of new people, cant remember too much though. Picotto suprised me i was expecting it bit dirtier (sp) but enjoyed it all, especially shan at the end. didnt enjoy sitting in A&E at the Genral from 4:30am till 10:30, one after party i hope not to go back to
my mate had left the club early and went to party, she tripped up coming out of the party and broke her ankle. not nice went to see her, thinking we would be there an hour or so. she didnt get seen untill 10:30am, which was a piss take
