Welcome back to The Poeticast as we celebrate 150 shows, we are humbled by the amount of support and dedicated listeners we now have. We will continue to evolve in 2017 and we will endeavour to bring you some of the most exciting and talented artists from around the world.

Episode 150 features a mix from South Korean Techno artist Soolee.

Soolee is a representative Korean Techno producer and DJ based in Seoul, South Korea. He is one of the founders of Vurt club, and owner of More Than Less Records. He specializes in electronic music, especially deep sounds and Techno.

Since the previous his name is discovered from Worldwide Techno scene from the event celebrating German unity “We Call It Techno”, His various and experimental Electronic music has shown in Korea for a long time. Soolee’s project “Future Jazz” received attention from Electronic music scene Media art field. The Media magazine featured him as "Unbounded unlimited future musician".

Soolee’s performance is based on heavy straight beats and groovy off beats, flying experimental ambience and rhythmic elements. On the stage he plays fluently commanded of demanding technique by himself on his unique hybrid set (mixed from three channel with Drum machine and analog effectors) and Live set. Since 2014, Soolee plays at pure techno club in Seoul, Vurt as a resident also playing in other Asian region like Taiwan, China and Europe such as Parisian Techno Parade, Concrete club, Lille 3000, Suicide Circus in Berlin as well.

His music is released from worldwide Techno labels include his More Than Less Records, Credo, Newrhythmic, Impact Mechanic, LCR, Infine and many others. His first Vinyl release in 2014, Tense is well supported from worldwide techno DJs like Joachim Speith, Developer, Bas Mooy, Francois X, Henning Baer, Tommy Four Seven, Reggy Van Oers and many more. In addition, his entirely re-created remix works are highly evaluated. Especially his remix from Joton - Collision is played famous UK Radio show Rinse FM by Techno legend Surgeon. Also he had invited from many podcast series like Invite's Choice, Death Techno, NWR and many more.
