Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, this week we find ourselves back in Italy and it is another highly talented young electronic artist in control of the mix and that artist is Simona Zamboli.
Simona Zamboli was born in Albano Laziale (Rome), came of age in Salerno, in 2012 moved to Bologna where she begins her art studies at Alma Mater Studiorum. In 2015, after her art psychology bachelor she moved to Milan.
Having always had an interest in the arts - specially in music -(she began her first studies in classical and electric guitar at the age of 12), in 2016 she started her experience at SAE Institute creative media college.
Here her sound production journey begins.
In 2017 she got an audio production and sound engineering degree, then she returned to Bologna because she was selected for a regional course for music producers for films in Emilia Romagna, obtaining a regional certificate.
In 2018 she came back to Milan where she actually resides.
In that year she has the opportunity to take part of Diva’s debut album named Divadelica (an IT pop band with italo disco influences released by INRI records) taking care of live sessions and performing with synths.
Between one performance and another she discovered that 80's groovy sound that will influence most of her new productions.
In 2019 she became the post production audio engineer for an advertising company working in parallel as self employed producing soundtracks and beats for singers, theater companies and collaborating with wear brands. In late 2019 she have a call for an advanced music producers workshop at CIMM (multimedial informatic music center) at Venice Biennale.
She’s a self-taught electronic music composer,she was born from the underground and will be always inspired by the underground world.
