Welcome back to listeners new and old as The Poeticast continues it’s expedition around the world of Techno. We are delighted to play host to another special guest this week with Casual Treatment in control of the guest mix showcasing some of his own work in the studio alongside the sound he displays in his live sets around Europe and beyond. Casual Treatment is a Paris born DJ & Producer who is based in the South of France, Melvyn Ortega started listening to electronic music at age of ten and discovered Techno three years later and directly fell in love with the music. He started mixing at 16. Then, one year later, he became resident of the famous Inox Club Toulouse as a duo (CROWD), making people dance either on warm-up duties or closing the night for artists like Ben Sims, Sigha and Tommy Four Seven….. After two years mixing, at 18, he progressed his talents with the desire to start producing his own music. He then met Marla Singer who took him under his wing, and inspired him in the studio. Melvyn decided then to create a new project, Casual Treatment. He focused on dynamic and hypnotic techno. 2016 promises to be a big year for Casual Treatment with a plethora of new music coming with some vinyl releases planned on the mighty Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Binary Cells and some other digital releases on Unknown Territory, A R T S, Lunar Limited & 91 Records to name a few ! He also has some live dates scheduled finishing events off for big artists including Ansome, Adam X, Headless Horseman, Pfirter…   So Keep your ears open for the eminent Casual Treatment.
